Exclusion, Multiply, Lighten Tutorial.
To use this tutorial, you must have a basic knowledge of Photoshop and its tools. Pictures are from Lost-Media.com.
This is what we start with. A very simple blend. The picture of them sitting was resized and added with softlight to the one of Ian. Merge the layers together.

Next, add a new layer, fill it with #002F5B. Set the layer to exclusion. Now duplicate the blend, add it on top the exclusion layer, desaturate and set to softlight.

Add another layer on top and fill it wiht #002F5B, set the layer to multiply.Play around with the settings of the different layers till you get something like this.

Move the blend a little to the top, add a new layer and fill with #7E3D29, set the layer to lighten.Erase the parts of the color layer you donīt like.

Make a copy of the blend, move it on top, desaturate and set to softlight.

Add a new layer and fill it with a texture, I used one from Zombiestock. Cut out a square so you can see the blend. To give them a rough look you can use brushes from Thia or Resurgere. I always use a layer mask, so I can undo what I donīt like.

Create 2 new layers, fill them with a text, I used a part from a Lost episode, with Shannon and Boone. Set the layer to softlight. To get this paper look, use a brush from Resurgere and set the layer to overlay. (color is always black)

Time for some decoration. :) On top of our very first blend, I added a new layer and wrote "Liaison" in white, set the layer to softlight. For everything else I used #660000. Brushes are from Thia and teh_indy. Just go crazy.

Then I created this. A simple icon, copied 2 times. Put on a new layer, filled with a pattern from Thia. To make the edges look this rough I used brushes from Thia. Add the word "Dangerous" , set to softlight and thatīs it.

Put this on your collage and youīre done.
