Grungy Art Tutorial.
To use this tutorial, you must have a basic knowledge of Photoshop and its tools. Here the pictures I used for this collage:
First I created a new black layer and added the TRE texture 38. I run a gausian blur till it looked pretty smooth. To change the color a little I played aroudn with the saturation.

Now it was too smooth. I wanted so grungyness and added the TRE texture 29 on top, set to soft light.

Now I wanted to split the collage into three pieces. For that I used a brush from Asunder. The layers is set to soft light and I even duplictaed it. The brush color is black. Make sure these two layers are always above the others!

Looking good so far. Not itīs time for some Elijah godness. ;) The picture is set to soft light. I also duplicated this layer and added a diffuse glow to the one below. same procedure on all thre pictures.

Now I had this big empty space in the middle. Time for some brushes. To fill it I used a brush from Blind Rage. I thought the window was just perfect for it. Same game as above. The brush color is black and the layer set to soft light and again duplicated.

Something is still missing. Hmmm how about a butterfly in the lower right corner? Yes, just what I was thinking. I added the stock picture of the butterfly. Desaturated it and the layer is set to soft light.

Ah, thatīs better now but still a little empty. Now I added a text brush from Loleia. The layer is set to softlight and the brush color is black. Let some text go over his face. (not very visible here, but you can see it in the end)

Now I wanted some more color and added a texture of Thia.I run a motion blur on it (angle -90, distance 50px) and set the layer to soft light.

Time for some highlights. I used the light burst and run a gausian blur on it (see above settings). The layer is set to screen. I did this four times. To make the light color fit just play with the saturation.

Almost done. Now I played around a little with the stroke effect. If youīre not familiar with it just go to Loleiaīs site. She has the best tutorial on it. After I added some strokes I flattend the image, then duplictaed the layer, desaturated it and set it to overlay. Added some borders and text to it and I was done.
